Web Page

Just going back and looking at the site that I finished last week. I focused on the thing i know best, baseball. The site lookes at the UML riverhawks and there schedule, roster, and lineups (when created). It also will give updated insight on up and coming games. Included in the web page are links to the North-East 10 conference and also to the Riverhawks athletics page. These allow you to delve deaper into the conference standings, news updates on the riverhawks and also personal and team stats. The website desing is a basic one page desing with these links opening up seperate pages making it easy to browse back and forth. So check it out and see what you think...

The New Mr. October!?

Chase Utley has been the man of magic in this post season. He proved his value to the Phillies lineup in this world series as well. Last night under the lights of his home field Utley tied Reggie Jackson's HR record. For those who don't know Reggie Jackson is the greatest post season hitter of all time. He goes down in history and the record books as being known as Mr. October. The Question is now though with a possible 2 games left in this world series; does Chase Utley have what it takes to break the world series record for HR's otherwise set by the great Mr. October?

World Series

Been watching the world series and was shocked by game 1. Cliff Lee just pitched the game of his life. Everything was working, fastball, curve, cut fast, change-up. The man was dripping with confidence against one of the leagues best line ups. The New York Yankee hitters didn't have a clue at what was coming next especially with the speed change between that pin point fastball and that devastating curve ball. The most amazing aspect about that game was the swagger in which Lee entered the all but welcoming Yankee Stadium. Om top of it, knowing he was pitted against one of the best left handed pitchers in the game, CC Sabathia. It seemed that game one belonged to Cliff Lee and that he will now go down in history as one of the top ten best world series pitching performances of all time.

Fall Ball

This has been a long and drawn out fall for baseball. The weather has been absolutely brutal and many of us are getting a little tired of this cold weather. The workouts with the new coach have really come in handy. I am a pitcher and have been looking for a great way to gain MPH on my fastball. We have found that working a=on your core has been a very effective approach. The core workout put together with a 5 day throwing program of long toss, light toss, bull pens, and flat grounds. All of this coupled with the core workouts and the regular 4 days a week lift have been helping out tremendously and have been helping with getting threw this cold weather that we see up here in New england.
